Here’s how to use the Forced Charge setting in the Hinen Solar App.
Ensuring your Hinen battery remains operational is crucial, especially when relying on it for backup power or to maximise your solar energy usage. Sometimes, you may encounter situations where your Hinen battery requires a forced charge.
A few reasons you’d want to do this could be:
1) Backup Power – There’s a cyclone coming and you’d like to ensure your battery is at 100% capacity, assuming you are going to lose grid power due to storm damage.
2) You’d like to optimise the use of Ergon Tariff 12(E) which is the Solar Soaker time of use tariff – you’d like to buy energy from Ergon during the Off Peak period at just 7.7 cents/kWh.
3) It’s an overcast, rainy or stormy day and there will simply not be enough solar energy generated to fill the battery to 100% capacity.
Set yours up today to ensure you have power day and night, optimise your energy usage, and ensure you have blackout protection this cyclone season.
