Virtual Power Plants are a critical solution for the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) to keep the electricity grid stable during events of high demand and fluctuations in grid frequencies. (FCAS).
VPP’s are the grids defence to keeping the lights on and keeping the high costs of electricity down during events. Electricity surges and spikes are generally caused by sudden large voltage increases in the electricity network from storms and grid failures.
