We are inviting Expressions of Interest from qualified, customer-focused solar and electrical contractors to become an approved Horan & Bird Solar Service Partner.

The successful partners will conduct solar system repairs, services, maintenance, and warranty services for our large existing customer base, providing exceptional customer service.

Scope Of Partnership

The selected partners will:

  • Deliver solar maintenance, fault finding, and repair services directly to Horan & Bird customers.
  • Invoice customers directly for paid maintenance and service work.
  • Manage and process manufacturer warranty claims for inverters, panels, and batteries when required. Invoice Manufacturers directly.
  • Provide customer care and communication to the highest standard.
  • Identify and refer opportunities for system upgrades or battery additions back to Horan & Bird for quoting.
  • Ensure all work meets SAA, Electrical Safety Office (ESO), and AS/NZS 5033 standards.

Ideal Partner Profile

We’re seeking professional partners who:
  • Hold a current Electrical Contractor Licence (QLD).
  • Are SAA-accredited for solar PV (battery accreditation preferred).
  • Have at least 3 years of solar installation and maintenance experience.
  • Familiar with Manufacturer warranty procedures for Solar Panels and Inverters
  • Operate with strong customer service, safety, and quality standards.
  • Can provide timely service coverage across Townsville and surrounding regions.

Partnership Model

  • Direct invoicing: Customer pays the Service Partner for maintenance or repairs.
  • Warranty work: Partner handles manufacturer claims and reimbursements directly.
  • New revenue opportunity for Inverter Replacements, Solar panel replacements, switchboard upgrades and other electrical or air conditioning work.
  • Ongoing Recurring Revenue opportunity with services and cleans.
  • Referral system: All brand-new solar systems / upgrades and new Battery Requests resulting from service work must be sent to Horan & Bird to quote.
  • Opportunity to do new Solar and Battery installations if you wish to.
  • Reporting: Completed services and maintenance reports must be sent to Horan & Bird to register into our customer database.
  • Customers will always remain as Horan & Bird customers.

Interested contractors are invited to submit an EOI including:
  1. Company profile and contact details
  2. Summary of experience and service coverage area
  3. Key personnel and SAA accreditation details
  4. Evidence of insurance and licences
  5. Example maintenance or warranty report
  6. References from at least two recent clients.
